At Ripon Concerts, one of our core aims is to inspire and support the next generation of musicians and music lovers. To help make live music more accessible, we offer reduced tickets to students in full-time education and free tickets to young people aged 18 and under. To further support families, we also provide up to two complimentary tickets for adults accompanying a young person aged 18 and under. We are extremely grateful to a generous local Charity for funding this initiative.
Alongside our free ticket initiative, we are proud to run the Young Performers’ Platform. This exciting opportunity invites talented young local musicians (Grade 6 and above) to showcase their skills by performing at the start of each of our concerts. Participants also have the chance to meet the professional musicians featured in the main programme.
🌟 Applications to perform as a Young Performer in the 26/27 season are now open. We'd love to receive applications from young musicians living within a 10 mile radius of Ripon. To apply complete the form below and include a link to an unlisted YouTube video of yourself performing. This can be made simply with a mobile phone and does not have to be accompanied. All entries are assessed by an independent adjudicator. The closing date for applications is 20 July.
