We had a brilliant time at our Musical Instruments Taster afternoon when we partnered with Ripon Funfest to welcome 50 young people aged 5 - 17 to try a selection of brass, woodwind and string instruments at Holy Trinity Church, Ripon. The brass sessions were led by brass teacher Mark Sidwell, woodwind sessions were led by clarinettist Emily Ferguson and the string sessions were led by viola player Joanna Claire. We were also very grateful to have assistance from students Amelia Horan and Jamie Pritchard and a team of wonderful volunteers. The afternoon was a great success with a number of young people signing up for instrumental lessons with one of the teachers after the session! You can watch a short video recap of the session here:
